Right now chips show what is one vote from public

A note on these screens. Every screen on this page is a mock built to match the live app. The threads, replies, handles, votes and statistics are sample data used to demonstrate the product. University names appear because the app lists real Pakistani institutions. Nothing here is an official finding about, or a statement on behalf of, any university or person.

How it works

Four steps from a university email to a public record

Public threads are readable on this site without an account. The app unlocks after a verified campus email. Posting, campus-only threads and in-app voting stay behind that gate.

01

Verify your campus

Sign up with your university email. The domain is the campus; nothing else decides it. You must confirm you are 18 or older; the server refuses the account if that box is unchecked. Until the address is confirmed the app stays on check-email. Public threads are already readable on this site.

What Posheeda is

A shared record of what a campus will not put on a form

Pakistani universities have thousands of students and almost no unsigned way to raise a problem. A hostel, a marking scheme, a harassment complaint or a fee dispute can be named without the author being named.

The problem today

  • Speaking up has a price

Unfair marking, harassment, a broken hostel, a fee nobody explained. Most students say nothing, because the person they would complain about can see their name on the form.

  • Complaints disappear

An email to an office, a note in a suggestion box, a message in a class group. None of it is visible to the rest of the campus, and none of it has a status anyone can check.

  • Nobody knows what is common

One student thinks a problem is theirs alone. Without a shared place to raise it, the fifth time it happens this semester never becomes a pattern anyone can point to.

  • No record of who responded

When an institution does act, or does not, there is no public trail. Choosing a university still means rankings and brochures, not how it treats its own students.

What changes

  • Post under a handle you did not choose

Every account gets a server-assigned handle such as sanjeeda-kabootar-8540. It cannot be edited, and your email is never attached to what you write.

  • Campus, verified by your email

Your university address decides which campus you belong to. There is no campus picker. Threads start campus-only, so the people reading share the problem.

  • Votes decide what the country sees

A thread stays campus-only unless the author ticks the box to let it go public. Even then it only leaves campus when net upvotes hit a threshold that scales with enrolment.

  • A status track, not a black hole

Open, acknowledged, under review, resolved, or no response. Every move requires a written note, so a campus scorecard is a summary of records, not a decoration.

Template PollDraft
01Raise

A thread starts with a handle, not a name

Compose is one screen for new posts and edits. The form shows the handle it will carry. Identifying-detail and self-harm checks are advisory, never blocking: a false refuse on a harassment report costs more than a false alarm.

  • Seven categories

Poor Marking, Education Quality, Safety, Administrative, Confession, Appreciation, or Other. One category per thread.

  • Optional poll

Two to four options, on new threads only. Polls store tallies, not who answered, and results stay hidden until you choose to see them.

  • Issue templates

Fee, hostel, marking or a shoutout: a few required facts, no names. The first field is required so comparable records land on the scorecard instead of in Other.

  • Looking for a classmate

A study partner, notes, a roommate. The Looking for template takes what you need, the course and when. Up to five classmates tap I’m in, and only that group sees who, with their department tag.

  • Replies, mentions, GIFs

Nested conversation, votes and five emoji reactions on replies, G-rated GIFs from GIPHY, and @mentions that only suggest people who can actually see the thread.

Every issue has a state, and a note that backs it

Status only moves forward. The author or the campus institution can change it. A thread that never gets an answer ends at no response, which is the outcome the scorecard notices.

  • Open to resolved

Acknowledged and under review are not green. Being heard is not being answered. Resolved is the only success state.

  • Progress to public

Campus-only by default. Public only if the author opted in and net upvotes then cross a threshold scaled to enrolment: floor 25, ceiling 500. Students can say me too. Share on WhatsApp is the first share action, as a 9:16 card.

  • Similar threads

Once public, Posheeda can show the same issue on other campuses, on the thread in the app and on this site, so a pattern is visible instead of a one-off complaint.

What your campus cares about, ranked on the server

Home is Campus, Following and Public. Campus shows your university feed with a Happening now rail for events and Right now chips for threads close to public; Following is campuses and threads you watch; Public is what crossed the threshold. Search forgives typos. The Campus tab is your hub with a scorecard, a Wins wall and the weekly league.

  • Happening now, right now

Campus events run as threads with a live countdown on Home. Right now chips show what is one vote from public. A daily campus poll sits above the feed; when it closes the result stays until the next one, and you can share the split.

  • Search and save

Full-text over titles and bodies, with a tolerant second pass. Saved threads stay in save order, not by score.

  • Campus scorecards

Threads raised, resolved rate, response time, category mix. Public once enough students have verified. Export as an image from the app.

A campus is a team, and the scoreboard is public

The Campus hub ranks every campus by what it actually resolved, shows which department carried yours this week, and keeps a wall of the threads that got fixed. Nothing on it is a follower count.

  • Campus Battle

A weekly league of every unlocked campus, ranked by resolved rate with movement since last week. Your standing sits at the top, and you can share the table to WhatsApp.

  • Department board and circles

Set a department on your profile and your activity counts toward it. A thread is worth 3, a reply 2, a vote 1, reset every week. Tap any department to open its circle: who is here, this week’s threads, and a WhatsApp invite for the classmates who are not.

  • Wins wall

Every thread on your campus that was marked resolved, newest first. Proof that something changed, shareable as a card.

  • Founders and inviters

Until a campus unlocks, its page shows how many students are still needed, who the founders are, and who is bringing the most people in.

  • Campus events

Staff can schedule an event as a thread with a countdown, on one campus or across all of them. Replies on an all-campus event carry the author’s campus, nothing more.

An identity you built, with no name attached

The You tab is yours alone. The handle was assigned, but the avatar, the department tag and the streak are choices, and none of it ranks you against anyone. Notification preferences per kind, and quiet hours when nothing should buzz.

  • Build your avatar

Hair, face, clothes and extras, with any colour you like for hair, outfit and background. Randomise until it fits. The default is seeded from your handle, never from you.

  • A streak with insurance

Days you showed up, counted privately. One missed day a month is covered, and a reminder can nudge you before a day runs out.

  • Twelve badges

First Voice, Not Alone, Made It Public, Change Maker, Rally Hand, Campus Builder and more. Earned by what you did, shown on your profile, never as a leaderboard.

  • Moments worth sharing

A thread going public, a resolve you pushed for, a streak tier or a top-supporter week opens as a celebration with a share card ready for WhatsApp.

  • Weekly and semester recap

Your last seven days or your semester so far, with your campus’s week and league rank beside your own numbers. A Monday notification brings the week to you. Share either as a card, with no name on it.

Anonymous to other users. Honest about the rest.

Reporting writes a record with a reason and a status you can check. Blocking is keyed on the handle, which never changes. Moderation runs on the server, on every piece of text.

  • Report with a reason

Names a person first, then personal information, then harm. You are told the outcome, including when nothing was actioned.

  • Block a handle

Their content stops reaching you on every list, immediately. Unblocking has no confirmation, because it is not destructive.

  • Helplines before a takedown

Self-harm language is never blocked. The app offers Umang, Rozan and Taskeen first, and treats the post as urgent.

Also in the app

Smaller surfaces that still change how people use Posheeda day to day.

  • Shoutouts

An Appreciation category with a Shoutout template: who, and what they did. The record of a campus is not only what went wrong.

  • Vote from the web

A public thread can be upvoted with a one-tap link sent to your university email. No password on that step. Share links are real https pages, not app-only.

  • Invite a campus

WhatsApp copy that names how many verified students a campus still needs before its scorecard goes public. Built for group chats, not press releases.

  • Follow, notify, mute

Follow a thread, a campus or a category. Replies, mentions, status moves and a thread going public arrive in-app; push only when you are away. Per-kind push preferences and quiet hours keep nights quiet, and everything still lands in the inbox. Mute one thread if you want the rest.

  • Export as an image

A thread, a campus scorecard, a weekly campus card, or a 9:16 share card for near-public, went-public and poll results. Saved to photos or handed to the system share sheet.

  • Daily campus poll

One question a day, pinned on Home. While it is open you vote; when it closes the percentages stay until the next poll, and you can share the result.

  • Me too

On a campus thread, say it happened to you as well. The count shows on the thread, on share cards, and on this site once the thread is public.

  • My threads, votes and reports

Your own posts, the threads you upvoted, saved items, blocked handles and report outcomes live under You. A private streak counts days you showed up, with one missed day a month covered, never as a public ranking.

  • Theme, data-light, your account

Light, dark or system. Data-light holds GIFs until you tap them, including trending in the picker. Delete account removes the sign-in. Threads, replies, and votes stay up, shown as a deleted account, and the email waits 30 days before it can sign up again.

For students

What you get out of it, in practice

Not another social feed. A place where a campus problem becomes a shared, visible, tracked thing.

  1. 01

    Raise it without exposure

Marking, quality, safety, admin, or a confession. The handle is assigned before the account exists, so the first place you meet it is not your own post.

  2. 02

Find out you are not alone

Upvotes, me too, polls and replies show how many people share a problem. Near-public chips on the home feed tell you which issues are one campus away from the country seeing them.

  3. 03

    Follow what actually moves

A notification when someone replies, when status changes, or when a thread you backed crosses the public threshold. Quiet otherwise.

  4. 04

    See how your campus responds

The scorecard is built from status notes, not from a marketing page. Export it. Share it. It is the information a prospectus will not give you.

Trust, safety & security

Anonymous to everyone else. Honest with you.

You are anonymous to other users, not to a lawful order. The app is built so the first is true, and the privacy policy says the second plainly.

  • Handles, not names

Your only public identity is a server-assigned handle. No endpoint takes or returns an account id for content.

  • Campus verified by email

The university address decides the campus and nothing else. Until you open the verification link the app stays on check-email.

  • Sessions that expire properly

Rotating refresh tokens live in the device keychain. Changing or resetting the password signs out every device.

  • Rate-limited by design

Sign-in, posting, voting and search are throttled on the server, so a script cannot brute-force a password or push a thread public.

  • No trackers

No location, no contacts, no photo library. Push alerts go through Firebase and can include a thread title. A GIF search, if you open the picker, is the other outside request. Sponsored posts are placed by Posheeda, not by an ad network.

  • Delete everything yourself

Settings → Delete account removes the sign-in. Threads, replies, and votes stay up. From a browser, posheeda.com/delete-account asks for the password and sends no email. The email cannot open a new account for 30 days unless support lifts the hold.

Moderation

A respectful campus, enforced before and after you post

Moderation runs on the server, on every piece of text, with no exceptions for anyone.

  1. 01

    Before it posts

Every thread, reply, poll and bio passes a server-side check. CNIC numbers, phone numbers, emails and contact links are refused. So are attempts to guess who is behind a handle, and abusive, threatening, hateful or sexual language.

  2. 02

    If someone is struggling

Self-harm language is never blocked. Instead the app offers Umang, Rozan and Taskeen helplines first, and treats the post as urgent rather than as a violation.

  3. 03

    After it posts

Report any thread or reply with a specific reason. Threats and self-harm are reviewed first, everything else within two days. You are told the outcome, whether action was taken or not.

  4. 04

    Your own controls

Block any handle and their content stops reaching you everywhere, immediately, without telling them. Delete anything you wrote at any time.

For the public

What a campus makes public, anyone can read

Reading a shared thread is open. Taking part needs an account. Scorecards unlock once enough students verify with a university email.

  • Read without an account

Once a thread crosses its campus threshold it can be shared as a public link. Anyone with the link can read the full thread, status track, poll, and me-too counts. Browsing public feeds stays in the app after sign-in.

  • Choosing a university

Campus scorecards show how institutions respond to their own students. A campus unlocks its scorecard once enough students have verified.

  • Parents and the community

A public account can read and follow campuses, so a parent can see what students are raising and whether anyone answers.

  • Institutions can answer

A campus may hold several verified institutional accounts that reply and move threads along the status track. Being heard is visible. So is silence.

Product

A quiet interface for loud problems

Near-monochrome, with teal spent only on what you can act on. Swipe through the screens students use most.

Why Posheeda

Trust is the product

A forum only works if students believe it will protect them and readers believe what they read. Every decision below follows from that.

  • Built for Pakistani campuses

Real universities, Roman Urdu handles, local helplines, and moderation that understands a CNIC and a +92 number.

  • Honest about anonymity

You are anonymous to other users, not to a court order. The privacy policy says so instead of promising something nobody can guarantee.

  • Accountability, not outrage

No reputation scores, no follower counts. The only thing measured is whether an issue was answered.

  • No data mining

The app collects an email and what you post, and that is the whole list. Nothing is profiled and nothing is sold.

  • Feedback with a status

Tell the maintainers what is broken. Each piece of feedback has a track from received to done, the same way a thread does.

  • Public record for the public

Anyone with a share link can read what a campus decided to make public. That is the point.

Questions

Asked before anyone posts a word

Fair questions, answered the way the product actually works. Nothing here is aspirational.

Something else on your mind? Read the safety centre or write to [email protected].
  • To other users, yes. Your only public identity is a handle the server assigned before your account existed, and your email is never attached to anything you write. To a lawful order, no. The privacy policy says that plainly instead of promising something nobody can guarantee.

  • By default, only verified students of your own campus. A thread can reach the public feed only if you ticked the opt-in box when you posted it, and net upvotes then cross a threshold that scales with your campus's enrolment: floor 25, ceiling 500. Nothing goes public behind your back.

  • Institutional accounts reply as the office, move the status track, and see exactly what every other reader sees: a handle. Handles are never linked to a name or an email anywhere in the product, and no endpoint returns an account id for content.

  • Every thread, reply, poll and bio passes a server-side check before it posts: CNIC numbers, phone numbers, contact details, doxxing attempts and abusive language are refused. Afterwards, anyone can report with a specific reason and is told the outcome. Every share page also says clearly that a thread is an unverified student post, not a finding.

  • Yes. A shared thread link is readable without an account on this site: the thread, the status notes, and the poll. Campus scorecards also unlock here once enough students verify. The app itself asks you to sign in, then verify the email, before the feeds open. A public account, using any email, can follow campuses and the public feed, which is how a parent watches a campus without impersonating a student. Posting stays with verified students.

  • A scorecard goes public once enough students have verified with that campus's email domain. Until then the numbers stay hidden. Threads can still go public if the author opted in and net upvotes cross the campus threshold. The campus page shows exactly how many students are still needed, and gives you a WhatsApp-ready invite link.
