If you are in danger right now
Contact emergency services on 15. This app is not monitored in real time and cannot help in an emergency.
If you are thinking about harming yourself
Please talk to somebody. These services are free and confidential:
· Umang Pakistan, free mental health support, umang.com.pk
· Rozan Counselling Helpline, 0304 111 1741
· Taskeen Health Initiative, taskeen.org
If you are at immediate risk, call 15 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Posts about self-harm are treated as urgent rather than as rule-breaking. You will not be penalised for saying you are struggling.
If you are being harassed
If someone is using this app to harass you:
· Block the account. They stop reaching you everywhere in the app, and they are not told.
· Report the thread or reply, with a reason. Reports about naming a person, threats, hate speech or sexual content hide the thread while we look.
If the harassment happened on campus, you can post a thread. Describe the role and the conduct. Do not name the person.
Keep your own records. Screenshots of what was said, with dates, are what a formal complaint later rests on.
Every Pakistani university is required to have an anti-harassment committee under the Protection Against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act. If yours will not act, the Federal or Provincial Ombudsperson for harassment accepts complaints directly.
Protecting yourself when you post
Your handle is not connected to your email or your name anywhere another user can see.
What can identify you is the detail you include. A course, a section, a date and a role together can single you out on a small campus even with no name attached. Write what is needed to make the point, and no more.
A thread only becomes readable by the whole internet if you opt in when you post and enough of your campus votes it up. You can delete a thread or reply while you are signed in. Deleting the account does not take those posts down. We can also hide a public thread if it breaks these rules or the law.
