Terms of use

By creating an account or posting on Posheeda you agree to these terms and to the Community guidelines, which form part of them. The agreement is with the operator of Posheeda, reachable at [email protected].

Your account

You must be 18 or older.

You need a working email address. Students need one issued by their institution. That address is the only thing establishing which campus you can read and post in, and using someone else’s is a breach of these terms.

You are responsible for what is posted from your account. One account per person.

Your handle is assigned by the service and cannot be chosen, changed or transferred.

When you create an account we record the time and the version of these documents you accepted.

What you post

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people the visibility rules allow: your campus, and, only if you opted in when you posted, everyone once a thread crosses the public threshold.

A public thread is still your words. Posheeda does not adopt them, verify them, or present them as a finding about any university or person.

You are responsible for what you post being truthful and for it not identifying an individual. Do not post anything you do not have the right to post.

A thread that becomes public cannot be made campus-only again by a vote. We can still hide or remove it if it breaks the guidelines or the law.

What we may do

We may refuse a post at the moment you try to publish it, hide or remove content that breaks the guidelines or the law, and restrict or close accounts that do so repeatedly or severely. Some reports hide a thread immediately, before we have finished reviewing it.

Where we hide or remove something of yours we tell you in your notifications, with the reason. A thread hidden automatically because of a serious report is put back if the report is dismissed, and you are told either way.

You can appeal by emailing [email protected] within 30 days of the notice, quoting the thread or reply. We read it again and reply by email.

We may change these terms. Material changes will be shown in the app before they take effect.

What this service is not

Posheeda is a place for students to raise concerns. It is not a regulator, not a complaints authority, and not a substitute for your institution’s formal processes, the Higher Education Commission, the police, or a lawyer.

We do not verify the accuracy of what users post. Statistics shown about an institution are aggregates of what users have reported and marked, not findings.

We are not a crisis service. If someone is in danger, contact emergency services.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for what other users post, or for loss arising from your use of the service.

Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
